Twenty years later, and Titanic is still as beloved with audiences as the day it came out. To celebrate its anniversary, the film’s director, James Cameron, announced that it will be re-released in Dolby Vision at AMC theaters only.
For a week only starting December 1, you’ll be able to relive every new and improved classic moment of the film. The official Titanic Twitter account posted a video of Cameron announcing the news and shared a trailer of the remastered version of the film.

“We mastered a few minutes of ‘Titanic’ in Dolby Vision and I was stunned,” Cameron said in an interview. “It was like seeing it for the first time. Now that the entire film has been mastered, I’m excited to share it with audiences across the U.S.
“This is beyond 3D, beyond 70mm, it’s beyond anything you’ve seen before,” he added. “The image leaps off the screen as bright and vibrant as life itself. This is the way all movies should be seen and without a doubt, ‘Titanic’ has NEVER looked better.”
Grab a big box of tissues and head to the theaters soon, because this is not something you are going to want to miss!
