Can you imagine The Rock walking into a meeting with a world leader and asking who he was, and then interrupting him to say it doesn’t matter? Wouldn’t that be the greatest moment ever in world politics? It could happen. That’s right. It’s a very real possibility.
He didn’t file and make his presidential bid official himself. But a resident of West Virginia by the name of Kenton Tilford has on his behalf. There is no known connection between the two gentlemen. Kenton is probably just a fan. But The Rock just might be down.
The Rock Has Talked About It In The Past
In an interview, he said, “I can’t deny that the thought of being governor, the thought of being president, is alluring. And beyond that, it would be an opportunity to make a real impact on people’s lives on a global scale. But there are a lot of other things I want to do first.”
A positive point about him is that he’s kept himself pretty much unpolitical. That means he has a fresh slate and journalists wouldn’t be able to tear him up because he doesn’t have an official political record. What are his policies? We don’t know.
Would He Make A Great President?
But we do get a glimpse into the way he would be in office. “Personally, I feel that if I were president, poise would be important. Leadership would be important. Taking responsibility for everybody. [If I didn’t agree with someone] on something, I wouldn’t shut them out. I would actually include them.”
What started out as a joke has been taken seriously by so many people in America that The Rock can’t deny it. He has to at least address it. Will he run?
One thing is for sure: He will have a huge amount of support. His fans are already on board. Who else can he get to back him?
