She may be the queen of country music, but that doesn’t mean she’s immune from getting tickets. Just like the rest of us, Carrie Underwood must abide by the letter of the law, and recently the law caught up to her. In a recent tweet, the singer shared what had occurred saying, “Well, it happened today. After 18 years, I can no longer say I’ve never been pulled over for speeding. I feel so ashamed! I may or may not have cried in my car after the cop let me go. #RuleFollower #GrannyDriver #ImSorry”
She can be seen in the dashcam footage, which was obtained by a news source, saying, “I wasn’t even paying attention. I know that’s no excuse.”
Many fans found the whole incident pretty hilarious and started cracking jokes that combined this situation with her 2005 hit song, “Jesus, Take The Wheel.”

It turns out that in the past, Underwood has made fun of her hockey-player husband, Mike Fisher, for being something of a speed demon on the road and getting them pulled over on a few different occasions.
All’s fair in love and war though, so now the scores are even between Underwood and Fisher. Although, it might be best in the future if they both ease up on the gas and avoid any more speeding tickets.
